Are you looking for cheap textbooks? TextbooksRus.com has some excellent prices on new and used textbooks. If you are looking for options that cost even less, think international. No, you don’t have to go overseas to find even cheaper textbooks. We do that for you.
We carry international editions of many college textbooks, and you can use them here in the US, since the content is exactly the same. The example problems are even the same and yes, they are written in English! What makes international editions special is the cover. The word "international" is printed on it. Depending on the particular book, it might have a different picture on the cover, too. All of the inside pages are the same, but the prices are different. We’ve marked down international editions for up to 60 percent below the US edition price.
If you’ve never tried international editions before, the idea might make you a little bit nervous. We understand. Try it. Going international is the latest trend on college campuses, but instead of packing your bags and heading to Europe, click through our International Edition Store. You’ll probably find what you’re looking for, and we’ll guarantee it to be the same book page-for-page as the US edition, only cheaper.

When attending college, it is vital to purchase the recommended textbooks for the classes a student is taking. For many, it is possible to find cheap textbooks for college which serve to enhance learning and help students achieve better grades overall. College courses are designed to be challenging and to provide students with a comprehensive education on the course subject. Due to these factors, a textbook can completely change the experience and wealth of knowledge obtained from any course.
When enrolled in specialized courses, students will often be faced with concepts, vocabulary and jargon that they have not encountered before. Professors are notorious for teaching material quickly and giving students very little time to copy down notes on confusing or even overwhelming topics. In these situations, a textbook can be the difference between struggling through a course and excelling in it. For example, a geology textbook will provide a student with a dearth of information surrounding geology and enhance the learning experience by providing a reference material that can be used to look up information that was taught in class, but not clearly recorded in handwritten notes. When students have the book close at hand, they do not need to stress out if they cannot keep up with note taking and recording lectures word-for-word. Instead, they can take notes on general topics and then look up the details and other needed information while studying.
Additionally, textbooks are an excellent source of enrichment activities which help a student comprehend subject matter fully and prepare successfully for exams. Written by experts, these books provide the knowledge in ways students can understand and will highlight key concepts and vocabulary words. This provides college students with an easy method of reviewing and solidifying content taught in class. Without a textbook to refer to, students often have trouble figuring out what materials to study for review and which concepts are important. These books provide groundwork to guide students through this process. Without a textbook, a student can waste valuable time studying concepts they believe are important yet are not the true focus of the lesson taught in class. Without the guidance of a textbook, it is easy to become misguided and end up unprepared or falsely prepared for exams.
College courses are notoriously tough, especially when it comes to very specialized subjects. A good textbook not only provides a student with the information that is needed but it can also provide study guides, tips and other knowledge that the student requires for success.

There are several reasons why a person would choose to go to law school. Once accepted and enrolled, one of the major parts of a student’s daily life is reading law textbooks and making sure they are understood.
Strong Interest in Law
Many high school and college students show a strong interest in legal matters. As they continue their undergraduate education, their interest in the subject continues to grow more and more. Soon they want to learn everything there is to possibly know about the field, so their reasoning is that the best way to acquire all the required and desired knowledge is to attend law school.
Wanting to Help People
Some individuals pursue the career because they want to make a difference in the lives of many people by helping them during their times of legal need. Studying at a graduate school in the field requires massive amounts of time reading the appropriate books. These can be bought new or as used textbooks, or they can even be rented out from some online companies. The information contained inside these volumes is complex, challenging and extremely new to first-year students, but the vast amount of knowledge required to progress at the university obligates these students to put in hours of study a day with these law volumes.
Opportunity for Excellent Income
Once they graduate the three-year course of study, the former pupils will be entering the work force. All of the education they received from their classes and from the legal titles they had to master is now ready to pay off handsomely. Graduates can immediately earn substantive income with private firms. When they are hired, they will see that all the titles that they had to study in school are on long shelves in the private firm's offices. The newcomers will find that they have to constantly refer to them in their daily working lives.
To Obtain Complete Legal Training
Some enter this career simply because they want to obtain as much formal training in the subject as possible. A few students don't ever even plan to take the Bar exam or practice. They just are so passionate about having to get as much comprehensive training from these new or used textbooks as possible. They feel the education they will receive will be of great assistance to them throughout their entire lives, especially if they want to work in certain related occupations. They adore reading these textbooks and really delight in the massive amount of education they provide, in addition to the training gained attending their classes. These individuals are equally dedicated and ambitious as the traditional types of individuals attending the same graduate colleges.

Students who pursue an economics major in college usually take courses to develop knowledge in politics, statistics and mathematics. These transferable skills are useful assets when these college graduates begin their job search. The uses for an economics major range far and wide.
Curriculum
Most economics undergraduate programs are divided into two streams that will lead to either a bachelor of arts or a bachelor of science degree. Students who decide to pursue the science track are frequently required to take a greater amount of upper-level quantitative classes, such as econometrics and mathematics theory. On the other hand, students pursuing the arts stream usually take classes with a heavier social science inclination. These courses include development economics and political economy. Students of both streams take at least one course in statistics. Since this major usually leads to a career in the public sector or the business industry, public speaking and writing skills are highly valued among students.
Employment
The job prospects for economics graduates span through different industries. While some students decide to continue their education by attending graduate school, some choose to pursue their careers in consulting and investment banking. However, since the unemployment rate remains high, these majors must make sure that their resumes are highly impressive for potential employers and graduate school admission committees. In other words, students should undertake internships during their junior and senior years so that they can acquire valued experience from working in a professional environment. They can also enrich their professional curriculum vitaes by conducting collaborative research with faculty members in their respective departments. Research experiences are particularly valuable for students who want to pursue a career in policy analysis or decide to attend graduate school.
Textbooks
While many have qualms about becoming an economics major because of the difficulty of the classes, it is often a matter of studying and understanding using textbooks in this field. Using textbooks for study has a heavy impact on learning information, theories and formulas applied in economics. An increasing number of professors are reusing textbooks they assigned for the previous year or semester, making it possible for students to buy used books for these classes. At the end of the semester, they can participate in a book buyback program. In other words, the books students purchased continue to be valuable after they finish their course. With online platforms that facilitate textbook recycling, students should encounter few difficulties selling used books.
Although the recession may still be looming large, graduating with an economics degree still give students many advantages in the job market because of their effective quantitative and communication skills.

Physics textbooks are just one of the many tools college students need to achieve success. Without a good resource readily on hand, earning an exemplary grade in physics or in any other college course is nearly impossible.
Many people will find that many schools require that every student acquire a textbook as part of the course requirements. They do this to make sure that the people enrolled in a class have the resources on hand to complete required assignments, to follow along with lectures, to use as references and to prepare for exams.
One of the most fundamental study tips for college students is to read the assigned material before attending class. This way, the mind is already oriented to the subject matter at hand and will profit more from the lecture material.
Whether or not students keep their physics and other course materials depends a lot on personal preference. Many people want to keep their textbooks so that they have material to reference later on in their academic and professional careers. Others feel like old course texts will never be looked at again, so they take advantage of textbook buyback programs that give them cash back at the end of the semester.
A book buyback program is operated by booksellers to give students a way to recoup some of the money they spent and use that money to buy more textbooks for the next semester. The program also benefits other students who are willing to purchase used books at a reduced price.
Other options available to students include book rental programs. These are for the ones who are sure that they do not want to keep their texts. The way this type of offer works is that a rental fee is pad that is usually less than the full price of a new book. At the end of the semester, the materials are returned to the publisher along with any fees for damages. This is another option that helps simplify the college experience.
One factor that often has bearing on whether or not someone keeps their course materials is often their major. For example, physics majors may wish to keep their physics textbooks, but may decide to send their English volumes to the book buyback program. This way they keep the things that are most likely to be an asset to their future career while getting some money back on the items that don’t have as much bearing. For English majors, however, the situation may be reversed. They will probably more likely retain their English resources, rather than the ones they bought for physics class.

Many college students find exams to be a stressful period at the middle and end of each semester. However, with the proper study methods, these periods need not be stressful or entirely difficult. Good study habits, like any habits, must be practiced. After a couple of weeks, students are likely to find that the study methods described below become second nature and improve not only test scores, but also paper grades, participation grades and overall conceptual understanding.
The most important tool in any student's repertoire is his or her college textbooks. There are a number of ways to procure a textbook, although textbook rental is becoming progressively popular for its convenience. Other important study tools include a calendar, note cards and pens.
Organization is the first step toward practicing good study habits. Students should record all assignments on a calendar as listed on the course syllabus provided by professors or teaching assistants. Neglected assignments, particularly in reading, have a way of piling up so that final exams can produce unhealthy levels of stress. Using a calendar will help students stay on task.
Successful students should read from their college textbooks each day. This not only helps one absorb the information presented, but cements good study habits into everyday life. Furthermore, students who may wish to ask professors for additional clarification can do so in a timely manner that will facilitate further learning.
While reading, students should use the note cards to record vocabulary terms, dates, important names and events, and causal relationships. When necessary, the student should highlight a textbook for key points. This will not be a problem when students plan to sell back a purchased textbook at the end of a term or are participating in a textbook rental program, future readers will likely appreciate textbooks that are pre-highlighted with information someone else thought was important.
Note cards prepared from each chapter or unit should be stored together. After completing each unit, a successful study method is to write an outline of the cards. Repetition is a recognized method of learning, and when one writes something out, particularly more than once, it aids in committing the recorded information to memory. The note cards can also be used as flash cards throughout the unit so that one can improve information recollection.
Overall, the main key to successful studying is to develop good habits early and practice them every day. With the proper tools and practices, students achieve a greater level of success, regardless of the course subject.

Making full use of science, math, language and literature books in college goes far beyond remembering to buy the book. Most students believe that the readings assigned by their professors are everything these resources have to offer. On the contrary, textbooks are a valuable resource for any high school or college course. There is no need to let these books sit on the shelf all year. Using the following tips can help turn a book into an irreplaceable tool for success.
Read out loud
Foreign language textbooks will often include activities and exercises that are intended to be read aloud. Even if dialogues are included as part of the text, and designed to be read in silence, reading them aloud with a friend is one of the best ways of improving accent, fluency, and grammar skills. Regardless of the language, foreign language textbooks will include dialogues and readings appropriate to the student’s level.
Don’t forget about the special sections
Books in every subject will include special sections of interest in nearly every chapter. In a science class these may include special information on mathematical concepts, interesting experiments, or insight into the historical background of the scientific subjects that the chapter covers. History texts might include sections focused on specific people, place, or events. Foreign language textbooks are likely to include sections with vocabulary for special situations that may be encountered in travel, information about local culture and tradition, and special topics on art or literature. These special topics are one way to enhance your understanding of any subject and use your textbook to its full extent.
Do the exercises
This may seem like a no-brainer. However, many students quickly skip over helpful comprehension questions and practice problems unless they are specifically assigned by a professor. These questions are actually a practical resource. They can be used to help memorize a conjugation, understand a new concept, or practice using a formula. Sly professors sometimes use them as test or quiz questions.
Look at the answers
It’s not a joke. Many math, science, or language books include the solutions and explanations to their problem sets in the back of the book. After finishing the exercises it is a great idea to check the answers, correct any mistakes, and gain a fuller understanding of the material in the process. Checking the answers isn’t the same as cheating. On the contrary, it is a good way to help process the material, and fully understand the reading. Just make sure you do the exercises first.
