Web Designer & Front End Developer

We are an established and expanding e-commerce retailer seeking a talented web designer and front end developer to join our team. The individual we are seeking bridges the creative and technical aspects of website creation and delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and manage e-commerce and content-based web pages
  • Create cross-browser HTML and CSS according to W3C standards
  • Manage and extend CSS and master pages as needed
  • Cross-browser testing and debugging
  • Recommend improvements for a superior UX
  • Code, stage, test, and deploy site improvements as needed
  • Monitor SEO efforts, make sure new pages meet our SEO plans
  • Design, code, test, track HTML emails
  • Social media design
  • Mobile website design
  • Monitor analytics for conversion, exit points, checkout problems, etc.
  • Competitive analysis
  • Print design and preflighting

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in design
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (CS4)
  • Able to hand-code HTML/CSS (without WYSIWYG editors)
  • Experience with cross-browser testing and de-bugging
  • Familiarity with JavaScript (JQuery is a plus)
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Background in e-commerce is a huge plus
  • Experience in Flash Programming, Usability analysis, After Effects and Video Editing Software a plus
