Alison Shaw is a fine-art and editorial photographer who lives and works on Martha's Vineyard, which has provided the inspiration and subject matter for much of her color and black-and-white photography. Over 5000 of her original fine art prints are in public and private collections. Alison's work appears regularly in Yankee Magazine, Martha's Vineyard Magazine and Cape Cod Life.

Tom Dunlop is the author of two books previously published by Vineyard Stories: Schooner: Buildinga Wooden Boat on Martha’s Vineyard (2010) and Morning Glory Farm and the Family That Feeds an Island (2009). He is a former editor of, and current contributing writer to, Martha’s Vineyard Magazine. Tom first recalls seeing the Chappy ferry when he was four and has wanted to write this book ever since.
