A graduate of Trinity International University, Wheaton College Graduate School, and Teach for America, she has enjoyed serving in urban children's ministry and education for over 13 years. Currently, she is the K-6 After-School Program Director at Circle Urban Ministries in Chicago.
MELVIN PATTERSON, JR.,a native of the Westside of Chicago, is a self-taught artist and storyteller whose passion is sharing his God-given abilities with others, especially children. He is most proud of his current art project - creating and overseeing a 180 ft. mural being painted by children ages 5-12 at Circle Urban Ministries, illustratingLittle Pilgrim's Progressin an urban context. Working as a maintenance supervisor by day, he enjoys serving God with all of his gifts and abilities whenever he has the opportunity.
