Living with Alzheimer's is terrible. Alzheimer's is an insidious disease. Currently, there is no cure; there is only the buying of time. My purpose in writing this book is to show how precious that window of time is and how it can be a very special time for both the person with Alzheimer's and for the caregivers. I know for my husband and me the other shoe will drop before too long, but I intend to make (not waste) the most of these years before it does. This book is about facing the realities of Alzheimer's with a focus on seeing the positive side of the disease – there is a positive side!

Sunny Buchman's main strength is recognizing a need for, and then creating and implementing programs that enhance the quality of life of others. A native of Glens Falls, New York, Sunny has founded and served as the first president of the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council (LARAC), created and implemented an arts program for Vietnam Veterans, and she facilitates Spiritual Journey groups.
