George Guido has been covering local sports since Feb. 19, 1971 when he was a commentator/statistician for the cable TV telecast of the Kiski Area at Valley High School basketball game. At the time, George was attending Burrell High School in the daytime and the Contemporary Institute of Broadcasting in Pittsburgh at night.
Since then George has worked for the former Westmoreland Cable TV-3 and WKPA Radio, both of New Kensington, and since 1988, the Valley News Dispatch of Tarentum.
