In the future, drastic global changes leave Earth, as we know it, unrecognizable. It is out of the ensuing chaos that two different factions arise to divide and govern the globe. With both sides desperate to slow the dramatic impact that the greenhouse effect was having on their collective environment, a worldwide ban on firearms and the production of greenhouse gases is enacted, leaving both society, and the art of warfare, changed forever. Born into this setting, a female West Point graduate and captain in the IJFA army steps forward to lead a unit of prehistoric, genetically enhanced terror birds into battle to save her homeland from an invading army. When wars are fought in a manner reminiscent of those from a thousand years ago, a little genetically enhanced ingenuity could be the key to winning the war and saving her people.
