The exercises in boxes are quite good and [are] a distinct advantage over other texts. The weblinks at end of each chapter are helpful. The writing style is very appropriate for the college level. The end of chapter synopsis and learning features are very effective, especially the websites that help to reinforce the chapter. I believe this is a solid chapter [four] on the theories and it does mention more current beliefs in criminality. I believe that this book is current with references to cases in 2005.
