Smith'steams would post a perfect 28-0 record in his first three years. After George Blankley went 16-1in 1950-51, Smith returned to the sideline, guiding the Broncos to a 125-25-5 record from 1952through 1967.Tony Knap, Jim Criner, Lyle Setencich, Skip Hall, Pokey Allen, Houston Nutt, Dirk Koetterand Dan Hawkins followed as head coach after Smith retired, but it is current coach Chris Petersenwho has the Bronco Nation abuzz, posting a 35-4 record in his first three seasons.
