Chris is originally from a small town in western Pennsylvania but transplanted to Florida at a young age. After graduating college he served in the United States Coast Guard and then began a successful twenty-five year career in the fire service in Pinellas County Florida serving as a Firefighter, Nationally Registered Paramedic, Fire Marshal, Public Information Officer, Municipal Emergency Manager, and Assistant Fire Chief before semi-retiring and moving to New Hampshire with Michelle.Michelle is a graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art with a degree in Art Education. Michelle lived in Andover most of her young life, growing up in adjacent East Andover. She attended Andover Elementary/Middle School, and worked in a quaint country store on Main Street as a teenager. After college she moved to Florida where she met Chris and they soon married in a romantic ceremony in the Cayman Islands. They later relocated back to Andover where most of Michelle’s large family still lives.

In 'Be The Twig' Chris Bengivengo imparts ten principals for living that can be traced to the beginnings of man's awareness of the universe and his insight that something bigger than ourselves is surely at work in all the granger and mystery that the world holds. Chris' understanding comes from a life of academic self-study of many of the worlds great religions past and present, as well as a life of spiritual searching beset with successes and failures that have all been gifts from the universe designed to impart knowledge and inspire enlightenment. What makes a spiritual teacher creditable is an awakened soul that allows them to see life and the world as it should be along with an ability to impart that vision in a manner that is workable and meaningful so as to cause a shift in understanding that moves the listener closer to enlightenment. It is Chris' sincere intention that 'Be The Twig' will reawaken the knowledge that already exists within you. The ten truths of the Twig are simply a way of interacting with life that can bring peace and happiness to anyone who has the inclination to follow them. If but one of the ten truths inspires a spark of awakened thinking, or creates a shift in living that creates a desire in you to further explore the universal truths of enlightenment that have always existed, 'Be the Twig' will be a success and Chris' intent in writing it will be realized.
