Christian churches today have misinterpreted Malachi 3:8–12 to mean that God wants each Christian to give 10 percent of his or her gross pay to the church on His behalf. The promise that God will "open the windows of heaven and pour out so much blessing that they will not have room to receive" has caused poor Christians to gave sacrificially as they hope for this windfall. This book is the result of a comprehensive study that reveals that God never asked for money for the tithes. God told us exactly what He wanted us to bring for the tithes, and it was not money.
