Born by mistake in South Carolina , Margaret Bailey moved to Colorado as soon as she'd received her master's degree in German from the Johns Hopkins University. She taught German, English, English as a second language, guitar, and Spanish in the Denver Public Schools. She retired early to devote herself to writing and moved with her German husband to Frisco, a town nestled at 9,000 feet among the 13,000 and 14, 000 foot peaks west of Denver. She has three adopted Vietnamese sons. Her short story "A Measly Bottle of Oxygen" was published by Echelon Press, and other works have won many short story and novel awards. Her historical romance Diamond in the Sky was published by Five Star Expressions in 2007.
