with Bartholomew Broadbent, Debra Meiburg M.W., Wes Marshall, Richard Olsen-Harbich and Patricia Chapman, J.D., L.L.M.
After an unforgettable two-year stint working with U.S. Senator Lloyd Bentsen--the last year as his executive assistant in Washington D.C.--Denman returned to Houston and was somehow drawn to two wine books, "The Signet Book of Wine" by Alexis Bespaloff and "The Wines of Bordeaux" by Edmund Penning Rowsell. He recalls it was like being plugged into "the universal wine source." In 1978, Denman started "Moody's Wine Review." In the early '80s, "The Washington Post" said that this was "certainly the best publication in this country for tracking the state of rare and exotic wines." During the same time period, "Food and Wine Magazine" said the three wine writers they enjoyed reading the most were Robert Parker, Robert Finigan and Denman Moody. From 1984 to 1990, Denman was contributing editor on rare wines for "The International Wine Review" in New York. And in 1991, he was inducted into "Who's Who in Food andWine in Texas" by the Texas Department of Agriculture and "The Dallas Morning News." Denman has continued as a free-lance wine writer and has been published in numerous magazines including "Revue du Vin de France" in Paris, "The International Wine and Food Society Journal" in London, "The Wine Spectator", and "Wine and Spirits." He has written for "Houston Lifestyles and Homes" since 2000, and is the wine editor of four cookbooks.
