When Charlie Spagnuolo attempts to save his friend, Benny, from a close encounter with the school bully both boys end up in the principal's office. Determined to stay out of trouble, they shake on a truce—a game of backyard football, and if the sixth graders win, the physical taunting and boastful seventh graders have to stop bullying them. It looks as though Charlie and his outmanned and undersized team will need a miracle to win.Luckily, the University of Chicago's football team is beginning their season practices, and Charlie runs into their famous coach after school.
